Tuesday, November 3, 2026 is Election Day. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mountain Time. How to register, mark, sign and return your ballot.

## Dates to remember

- October 19: vote centers begin opening; check local hours.
- October 26: recommended last day to mail your ballot and the online registration deadline to receive a ballot by mail.
- November 3: ballots due by 7 p.m. Mountain Time.

## 01 Check your registration

Visit GoVoteColorado.gov to register, check your address, view a sample ballot or find your county clerk. Active voters are mailed a ballot automatically. Register online by October 26 to receive one by mail. After that, register and vote at a vote center in your county through Election Day.

Eligibility U.S. citizen; 18 or older by Election Day; Colorado resident for at least 22 days before the election; not serving a sentence of confinement or detention for a felony conviction.

## 02 Mark and prepare your ballot

Fill the ovals Use a blue or black pen. Completely fill the oval beside each choice. Select no more choices than allowed. Check every page and both sides. You may skip a contest; other votes still count.

Review and seal Check your choices. Follow packet instructions for any detachable stub or secrecy sleeve. Place all ballot pages in your own official return envelope and seal it.

Sign and date the envelope Use your usual signature in the voter signature area. Confirm that the envelope has your name. Sign the envelope, not the ballot itself. Include a copy of ID only if your packet requires it.

Missing ballot or mistake Ask your county clerk for a replacement or visit a vote center. Follow county instructions for corrections.

## 03 Return it before the deadline

Drop off Place your sealed, signed envelope in an official Colorado ballot drop box or deliver it to a vote center. No postage is needed for drop-off.

Mail Add the postage required by your envelope instructions. Mail by October 26\. Starting October 27, use a drop box or vote center.

Received by 7 p.m. on November 3 A postmark does not count. Vote early to allow time to resolve any issue.

## 04 Vote in person early or on Election Day

Yes, early in person voting is allowed. Vote centers begin opening October 19\. Use any Voter Service and Polling Center in your county; check that location’s dates and hours.

Bring acceptable ID Examples include a valid Colorado driver’s license, Colorado ID or U.S. passport. Ask an election judge for a ballot or accessible voting help. Review and cast your ballot as directed. Vote only once.

In line by 7 p.m. on Election Day Stay in line. You can still vote.

## 05 Confirm your ballot was accepted

Check your ballot status or sign up for BallotTrax at GoVoteColorado.gov. If notified of a signature or ID problem, follow county instructions promptly. The correction deadline is November 12 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time.
